KPC Youth & Community, a grass roots charity based in Pyle, works with children/young people & our local community to give them better opportunities in life - through support, guidance and activities.  KPC does this through it's centre based in Pyle, Nr Bridgend, South Wales and supports young people aged 5+ via its After School Club, and 8+ via the Open Access provision.  KPC wants to ensure young people are valued, listened to, have fun and that their well-being and mental health are supported.

KPC  is  taking part in the 2.6 Challenge and really needs YOUR support! The event has been created to help charities like us, who have had a big loss in income due to the current crisis, but really want to be there to help out again, once things are "back to normal".  We want to be able to restart our provision, and ensure we meet the needs of young people, and for them to be the best they can.

Beginning on Sunday 26 April (what should have been the date of the 40th London Marathon) - we are asking supporters to dream up an activity based around the numbers 2.6 or 26 and fund-raise around this.

The number challenge could be anything - 2.6 miles, 2.6 km. 26 press ups. 26 times up and down the stairs. 26 pancake flips. Anything with a 2 and a 6 (as long as it follows the government’s advice on exercise and social distancing). Participants can get things started by donating whatever they can afford to themselves and then encourage their friends and families to get involved and donate as well.

This is a great and fun way of raising some funds for KPC (and give you a fantastic purpose during the lock-down!) + the challenge can be whatever anyone wants!

We are aware that a lot of you have already been generously supporting front line and the NHS charities - so realise you may already feel you've given what you can. This is more about ensuring the future of us smaller charities to ensure we survive the crisis.
